1 - 2 - 3 - Let’s be heard on Proposition 2 1/2!

The Massachusetts Department of Revenue (DOR) and the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) are seeking public comment for an upcoming report on the ability of municipalities to fund K-12 education. The report will also examine the constraints Proposition 2 1/2 places on middle and low-income communities toward meeting required contributions.

The outcome of this report is critical for Leverett.

We encourage community members to follow the steps below to express their concerns about the current formula for education funding to small towns and the ways in which Prop 2 ½ is hindering Leverett’s ability to meet the needs of our school. Comments are due by OCTOBER 16, 2020.
